Fortnite Fortnitemares 2026: Trick or Treat Sprites arrive October 8
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Override welcomes the Fortnitemares 2026 celebration with a new Sprite variant called Trick or Treat. These Sprites are distinguished by a bright orange glow with hints of red, making them easy to spot across the map. They will be available in both Battle Royale and Zero Build matches starting Thursday, October 8.
What do Trick or Treat Sprites do?
Trick or Treat Sprites give players a chance to find candy when opening containers. Players can boost their XP by searching chests, smashing pumpkins, opening containers, and extracting other Sprites. Eliminating opponents, NPCs, and bosses also contributes to XP gains.
Where to find Trick or Treat Sprites
The best starting point is Nightmare Neighborhood, the new point of interest that has replaced The Battlewoods for Fortnitemares 2026. Pumpkins can be smashed there for a chance at a Sprite. Rarity swings dramatically between variants. For instance, the Klombo version has a very small spawn chance of just 0.0001 percent. Attending scheduled Fortnite Sprite Events is the most efficient way to speed up collection, since both spawn rates and Sprite Dust gains get a temporary boost during those windows. Once a Sprite is found, players must extract it before it can be used for the rest of the match.
